How does it work?

Register on AID:Tech's Transparency Engine platform and leverage blockchain technology to remit to friends and family. Managed by UNDP Serbia, you can choose to remit payment specifically for utility or grocery purchases. 

Because the platform is powered by blockchain, every transaction made is documented and build a clear, permanent and transparent ledger. This information is then made available to you in the form of notifications and a personalised transaction history.

How do I register?

Register here with a valid email address, mobile number and password. You will be asked to accept the Terms & Conditions.

When you register, you will be asked to verify your email address. Click on the link in the verification email, or cut and paste it into your browser, and you will be shown a page confirming when your registration is complete and verified.

At your first login, you’ll also be given the choice of multi-factor authentication - either by SMS or by app. To proceed, please follow the instructions on screen.

Why do I need to register?

You need to register in order to receive personalised notifications about the remittance payments you made, and to access your personalised transaction history on the Transparency Engine platform.

Signing in also enables other upcoming features including implement ‘recurring payments’.

How do I make a payment?

Once you have registered, you can immediately begin to make remittance payments.

  1. Search for the recipient by email and phone number.

  2. Enter the amounts you wish to send.

Complete the checkout process by entering your debit/credit card information (Amex accepted). By clicking ‘Continue’, you will be shown an order summary including any fees incurred. Once the transaction is complete, your will receive a confirmation email and the ‘Trace Payment’ dashboard will update to reflect your activity.

I received an email about a remittance I sent.

When a remittance you made to someone in Serbia has been spent, a real-time notification is sent and your personalised transaction history updates to reflect this. Stay on top of your remittance payments.

I did not receive my verification email/SMS.

For email verification, make sure you are connected to the internet. Please check that that communication is not restricted by VPN or firewall. You can also do a search for emails from verification@aid.technology. Lastly, please make sure you are checking the same email account as the one used for registration.

For SMS verification, please make sure you are connected to your data/wireless service. Please check that that communication is not restricted by VPN or firewall. Lastly, please check that you have entered the correct country code and phone number at registration.

How do I manage my privacy?

Once you have logged in, click on your avatar image and select 'My Settings'. The 'Privacy' tab will display a range of options including what personal information is publicly displayed. You can also manage your communications preference, such as how you would be contacted - by phone, email or text message.

What about multi-factor authentication?

AID:Tech's Transparency Engine platform offers the option of multi-factor authentication. By visiting 'My Settings', 'MFA Settings' offers a choice of verification methods; SMS verification or to use Google Authenticator. Enable your choice of MFA by sliding the switcher and follow the instructions. Once your MFA settings is updated, you will be asked to enter the respective code at your next login. 

How do I update my phone number on my account?

You can update your phone number by visiting ‘My Settings’ after signing into your account.
